- DERMATOLOGIST TESTED - Frownies are HRIPT tested, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and safe for sensitive skin. Perform a patch test before use. Do not apply to broken skin or after treatments like microdermabrasion or laser.
- WHAT TO EXPECT - Frownies are made from unbleached Kraft Paper and vegetable starch adhesive. They have a unique natural smell when wet, but it fades once dry. We avoided fragrances to prevent skin sensitivity. The results are worth it!
- FOR BEST RESULTS - Wear Frownies nightly to soften expression lines by relaxing and splinting facial muscles. Results take time and consistency. For longer lasting effects, use nightly for 2-4 months as you retrain your facial muscles.
- EASY APPLICATION - Fold and tear patches along perforations. Wet the shiny side with warm water or Rose Water Hydrator. WAIT for the adhesive to get tacky, then apply, overlapping to cover the forehead. Do not peel the paper off the adhesive!
- EARTH FRIENDLY - Frownies contain no toxins or active ingredients and are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and PFAS. They’re biodegradable, compostable, recyclable, and never tested on animals. Each box contains 144 paper patches.

okay so this should be stated so people know atleast or maybe im just blind and didnt see the review myself but these aren’t easy patches to just apply and take off you have to wet them and stick them on ur face and in the morning u have to wet them to slide them off YOU CANNOT RIP THEM OFF you can damage ur skin… theyre not bad but the application is a lil lengthy and not exactly what i was looking for but hopefully they have good results!
they work great, stop me from frowning at night which causes terrible headaches, smells a bit odd but I appreciate their quick drying and simple materials. only problem is I hate how few come in a box - I use about a half a patch a night and they run out quick
It took me a few try’s before I got the hang of applying these correctly. They can’t be too wet or too dry. I generally wet one or two fingers and immediately swip them across the frownie with very light pressure. The surface should be evenly wet but not swimming or fully soaking the paper through. At least this works for me. When applying to lines, I stretch the skin taught and hold the frownie in place for several minutes, until it adheres. Then I’m just carful of it, until it’s fully dry. When done right the skin will be held tight overnight and into the next day. After removal the skin often appears hydrated, and lines finer and far less noticeable. For some of the very fine ones, they may not be visible at all. At first these results fade quickly, but with repeated use they stay longer and longer. The only downside for me is that I have a difficult time handling the smell of the glue when wet. It’s a hard one to describe, glue made from hooves and wet cardboard, underneath a mild menthol scent maybe. The bad smell goes down quickly and is gone once the patch is dry, but be warned if you are sensitive to off smells. This is another reason not to get the patch overly wet. It’s not crazy strong, but it is on your face. These still work so well for me, that I use them despite that moment of yuk. They are worth it.
I can definitely see how they would work – once dried, they were totally stiff like paper mache and probably would be effective after the recommended initial 30 days. The only thing is I could not get past the smell. My poor dog RAN over to me and went wild trying to sniff them on my head when I tried them.I will stick with my Pacifica silicone forehead mask. It's definitely not as effective at keeping my muscles relaxed, but it's much easier to apply, which makes me more likely to use it consistently, and that consistency is probably more beneficial for me in the long run.
Are these as good as Botox? Of course not, as I can only wear it for so many hours of the day (non-working hours). I have had botox twice now, and that works extremely well, but is quite expensive and wears off quickly. I am using these between botox treatments and I do think they work to some extent, but it depends on how much you wear them, how long you wear them, and what you are doing between uses. I do think they are overpriced for what they are. They stick very well, they. make it hard to wrinkle your forehead, and they are comfortable to sleep in. Yes, there is a scent, but it wears off when it dries and it does not bother me whatsoever. My skin did not like them at first and I ended up breaking out all over my forehead, so I now use them every other night instead of nightly to let my skin breathe in between uses. I will most likely keep purchasing as I am happy with the results, but unfortunately most of my forehead movement comes from working hours, and not at night when I am sleeping.
